R. Alasdair Morrison assumed the Chief's mantle
on November 7, 2020.
In 1965 the Lord Lyon (the chief herald of Scotland) formally recognized Alasdair's great grandfather, Dr. John Morrison of Ruchdi as Chief of the "Clan and Name of Morrison". His lineage could be traced back thirteen generations to the Morrisons of Harris, the hereditary keepers of the Dun of Pabbay.
Michael S. Morrison was elected Chairman in 2018. Under his leadership, the Society has begun to expand and flourish.
He is a U.S. Air Force veteran and served in the Gulf War. His passionate hobby is falconry and he owns several birds.
He is one of the organizers of the Southeast Alabama Highland Games and attends other events when possible.
He and his family reside in Alabama.

In 1967, Dr. John Morrison of Ruchdi appointed John Granville Morrison, 1 st Baron Margadale, as a regional chieftain. He was later recognized as such by the Lord Lyon in Letters Patent issued in 1968. The current chieftain, and 3rd Baron Margadale, is Alastair John Morrison. He succeeded his father, James Morrison, 2nd Lord Margadale, in

He succeeded his father, James Morrison, 2nd Lord Margadale, in the barony and as chieftain in 2003. He was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Wiltshire the same year.
Andrew Morrison was born in Westminster when his grandfather was Speaker of the House of Commons, and later educated at Eton and Oxford. He came to the US in 1981 while working with a British Merchant Bank. He is a Former Chairman of the American Financial Services Association, and the Past Chairman of the Society of Scottish Armigers. He

He came to the US in 1981 while working with a British Merchant Bank. He is a Former Chairman of the American Financial Services Association, and the Past Chairman of the Society of Scottish Armigers. He is also currently serving as Honorary British Consul in San Antonio, is a member of the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs, Honorary Patron of the American-Scottish Foundation, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Council of Scottish Clans and Associations.
Chris Gillmore, a native of New Orleans, has had a lifelong interest in history, genealogy, and Scottish heraldry. He currently works within the construction management and safety industry. The chief, being satisfied with his abilities appointed him to the position of Shennachie in November of 2018, and he will now be representing the clan within the newly formed Council of Shennachies.
